Big bold red wine

Occasion: Boxing day curry, or just for sipping in front of the fireplace

Food Pairing: Slow cooked meaty stews (or aubergines and mushrooms). Also works with Indian food cooked the same way.

Tasting notes: A full bodied premium Bikaver from Szekszard. It is full of dark fruit like plums, blackberries, even prunes, with good tannins. There are also nice oaky flavours that come through like chocolate, coffee, sweet spices, and even a bit of tobacco.
