Erzsebet Aszu 6 Puttonyos 2017

"The king of wines, the wine of kings". An incredibly sweet and luscious Aszu made by the incredible Erzsebet Pince with grapes from the finest vineyard in Tokaji - Kiraly dulo. Only the perfectly boytritised berries are hand picked to make this wine. The wine is focused and precise, a great representative of the 2017 vintage. It has notes of peach, pineapple, honey, candied lemon, a little bit of a jammy character as well with peach jam. It is round, rich, long, and outstanding. It will age extremely well, 30+ years, but is already incredible now. Goes well with blue cheese, foie gras, apple pie, sticky toffee or Christmas puddings. I like having a small glass as my dessert.
